Hello, sailors!
We’re hosting our second annual “Try Sailing” event during O-Week this year. The event will be held Wednesday, August 26, from 4-7 PM, during the Elective Events slot on your orientation schedule. This event is open to all students, not just incoming! No experience is required; each boat will have a current member of our club to “skipper,” or drive the sailboat. Boat rides will last ~15 minutes; final boats leave at 6:45 PM, so please arrive earlier than that to guarantee time on the water. Our boats can take two crew and one skipper.
We recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting wet, and closed-toed shoes (ex. Crocs) are preferable. All students will be required to wear lifejackets (which we provide) and sign a waiver to participate.
