If you would like to sail but do not want to spend the time or money to join the race team, are a grad student or community member, or are new to sailing, then your best option is to join the cruising portion of our club.
Joining:
Simply show up at one of our cruising days to be introduced to some basic sailing skills. Absolutely no experience is necessary to join!
Sailing times:
Friday, 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm (weather permitting)
If none of these times work for you, contact an eboard member about scheduling an alternate to get out on the water.
Location:
Houghton Skate Park lot next to the Super 8.
Dues:
Dues are $50 for the year.
You are allowed to go sailing once before you need to pay dues. This $50 also makes you eligible to go on regattas. However, you will need to pay a fee of $20 per regatta that you attend. So feel free to try racing and see if you like it!
